Yurts are a combination of Pi and Pythagorean maths – making a beautiful, aesthetically round structure – which has made it a favourite of the glamping industry and for many centuries across the Asian continent to those who call it ‘home’. Designed as a nomadic structure, is a combination of sturdiness with portability, coupled with the nature materials and the space it creates – is a design icon.
We use locally sourced Oak and Ash for our yurts predominantly but have used hazel, bamboo and willow upon request.. Steam bent elements giving the classic yurt shape. Yurts are available in all sizes from 9ft – the smallest size we do to the larger event space yurts which are designed to accommodate large numbers of people..
Alongside yurts we can provide flooring – wooden (which can be insulated) / mat or plastic ground sheet, insulation and liners for the yurt itself and a variety of other relevant items.
Tipis are traditionally of the native Indian design and what they lack in space they gain in history, lore and must be a contender for the most portable nomadic structure around – like a yurt, it is also round and therefore Aesthetically pleasing.
However this design has been modernised to give the structure a new lease of life and make event spaces that are scale-able and beautiful in equal measure.. with the ability to link them together in a number of different configurations and with the many accessories available – you can create venues that are versatile and unique.
Alongside Tipis, we can provide flooring – wooden or mat, furniture, fire-pits etc and a variety of other relevant items.
We have access to many different types of hard and soft wood from local wood mills including interesting pieces that ooze character – which whilst being quite difficult to work with are for the same reason quirky and interesting. Having made shelving units/ tables / benches / chairs amongst other things please feel free to contact us to see if we can help..
We can also provide trailer conversions – we have put a Pizza oven on a hand cart, converted a horse box to a Pizza Box, a cattle trailer to a mobile coffee bar and also a shed on wheels.. all these are by their very nature completely bespoke and based on individual needs – so please contact us for further information..
We do have quite a versatile skill set so please feel free to contact us with your idea – we do a lot of sun shades and canopies, either free standing or to come of structures and vehicles..
Generally with most of the items made that include fabrics – this is the most perishable item – we can retrofit covers as required and so please contact us with your needs..
